Was the dealer a REAL dealer, or a used car lot?
Safety recalls are serious business. You could get them in A LOT of trouble.
I have worked in the car biz for over 30 years.
I KNOW what goes on....
And I'm not knockin 4wd, I just see alot of people drive big money when they don't need to.
These same fool are the ones that get onto the freeway in a blizzard, and do 20 mph in the left lane.
Stay at home if you can't drive! Just 'cause It's 4wd doesn't mean you should leave the house if you don't know how to drive them!
Off my soap box, thank you.

I'm a Ford person. I drive an old, beat up 1966 truck thats been used on the farm forever. I swear that thing is bullet proof, never had a wink of trouble or done anything other then regular maintenance in years. Runs great too.

Quote: Toyota has been making trucks longer than they have been making minivans, and even if you're getting something other than their trucks it'll last forever. And don't get me wrong, I can't stand minivans either.

I love those old trucks that have always been there, the ones that run when you need them. It's a shame you can't always find those out there today.

I do believe it was a REAL and TRUE dealer.

Idk just something in my mind i guess :D I'm a chevy/dodge girl ALL THE WAY

My favorite is '89-93 Dodges with the first generation Cummins. Around here they are referred to as H.S.T.s, or high speed tractors. They pull like there is no tomorrow. I've pulled a nine ton load at 65 mph and almost forgot it was back there. My old '90 model W-350 single wheel one ton was resprung to a ton and a half. It's tough as a tank, and rides like one.

And the old Cummins will burn any light oil, including vegetable oil and old automatic transmission fluid. And you know what's the most beautiful thing about the truck? It only cost me $2,500. SCORE! And yes, it's a four by four too. I don't use the four wheel drive on road, off road only! And I mean way off road. Oh I forgot, unloaded, highway mileage is 21 mpg. Not bad for a 7,300 lb. truck.
