When I went to order my first meaties I wanted to get what my parents raised, Indian Rivers. We did those for years but no hatchery carried them or had heard of them. Went on the internet and they are called Deleware's now. It is the meat bird before the Cornish X became the meat bird. I am still ordering the Cornish X not the Indain Rivers (Deleware) because of the food to meat ratio. How much food they consume before they are market age so to speak. They are lovely birds and are docile. Hey when you put on that much weight that fast how can you be anything but docile. Just my opinion. I may try a few Deleware this year but I said that last year.

Yes THE Ohio State University i have a long line of OSU graduates and Bowling Green Grads. My dad, 2 uncles and both Grandfathers went to OSU and my mom and my mom, one of my uncles and my grandma went to Bowling Green.
