I live very close to where the Dirty Dancing lake scene was shot. When you go on tours of the lake, they tell you about it. Evidently they shot it in Oct. and the lake was freezing and the leaves had started to turn. They spray painted the leaves of the trees with food coloring to get them back to green. The water was so cold, they filmed the actors from afar so their blue lips didn't show.
I read somewhere once that the scene in Ghost with the clay wheel and Rhuett carrying Scarlett up the stairs in GWTW is two of the most sensual movie scenes ever made. Could be . . .
