Oh, I turned over the litter (pine shavings) every other evening.

I give mine boss every morning. Black Oil Sunflower Seeds. They love it. They like watermelon cantaloupe and all sorts of fruits and veg. I've got a peep bout 3 weeks old and it even eats the seeds. I seen a seed in the mouth one minute and it was gone the next. I don't care what time I feed them they come running for the seeds. They will leave other snacks. Honestly I call them little pigs cause I haven't found much that they won't eat.

trooper - Do they eat the boss whole or do they crack the shells open and just eat the seeds?

No, I put the small section of newspaper down at the advice of a friend. He said to put it down and sprinkle some of their starter crumbles of it and just watch. It was funny to see them run over right after they saw/heard it hit the paper. And to watch them scratch for it. It was so cool to watch them. Honey was the first to 'scratch'. She would peck a bite or two and then...right foot scratch...left foot scratch...back up a step and then look down. Just like she was scratching the ground for bugs. I enjoyed watching them eat, stretch a little, and then plop down for a nap. And of course...there was pooping in-between

ohhh got it!! I finally figured out a good system for the water.. I have an old flat top rock from the bearded dragons. worked like a charm and is making clean up much easier!!! I gave the girls 1 cricket to play with... the bossy barred rock took it, hid in the corner, and ate it up! hehehe hog!!!
