Favorites?

My husband and I decided to get a rooster after all. Does anyone have any suggestions for their favorite rooster for first-timers?

(We are getting seven pullets of various breeds if that makes a difference.)

Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm a first timer too and although I have all brahmas and several roosters, my favorite by far is my light brahma rooster, Zeus. He was so adorable last night when I went to sit down next to their pen he was literally knocking the other chickens out of the way to get to me. He was in my lap before I finished sitting down. True the first thing he did was to check my hands very carefully for treats, but when he found I didn't have any, he was perfectly happy preening my hair. He follows me everywhere. Even my SO, who was raised around chickens, is amazed that Zeus is such a pet.

Salmon Faverolle Roosters are the nicest birds I have ever seen. Pretty and gentle as lambs. My Faver Roo is by far and away my nicest chicken.
