Favourite Holiday Traditions

Growing up, Christmas tradition was that we all received a new pair of pajamas on Christmas Eve to wear the next morning while we opened gifts.
We do that too. It's the one gift we were allowed to open as kids, and it's the one gift our kids are allowed to open now.

My family does everything on Christmas eve. Christmas day was for all the friends to come over.
My husband's family does this! All of the family would gather. His grandmother, then mother (after she passed), used to read "the Night Before Christmas" to all of the "kids". Dinner was served, then gifts were exchanged and opened. Friends would enjoy gathering Christmas Day with various family.

Midnight mass used to be a thing. I don't think I ever went, but we did go to evening mass on Christmas eve sometimes.

That's way too much laundry to do on Christmas Eve. I can't wear clothes without washing it first. But I love that tradition!
