So I got myself a bunch of fayoumi chicks (2 weeks), since an evil dog broke into my coop and stole a bunch of hens. I decided I need some flyers.
Can I put them outside with my locals? My Baladis are about a month old.
My Balady chicks (1 month old) have their chick coop outside with a heat lamp, will it be ok to just put the new chicks with them? Or should they be put separately for a couple of weeks?

Wait 6-8 weeks before putting chicks outside. and wait to blend them also.
6-8 weeks!? I live in Israel, temperature at night is 20 degrees Celsius right now. They have a heater outside too… are the diseases a problem?
I don’t mind keeping them with me inside for a couple of weeks, but two months? Then should I also get the Baladies inside?

I’m not going to be able to keep them inside for two months. One found the way out and is roaming the back yard like it owns it. I need something better than a karton box for them. They’re feisty.

I put them with the Baladi chicks. I think they like each other, I’ll get them back inside for the night.
