FBCM Gender

This is my French Black Copper Marans, and it is one of the sweetest chicks ever. It is just over six weeks old. I was told a couple of weeks ago it looked like a cockerel because of it's comb size (don't know where that thread is), but is it possible it's a pullet with a large comb? There is a little wattle development now, but comb and wattle are pale pink. Am I just in denial?

I am afraid that you may be in denial.

It looks like it really could be a cockerel.... but maybe give it a couple more weeks before you do anything. Just to be sure.

Update: Here is an updated pic of Jewel, who is now just shy of 11 weeks old. The comb is big, but still pink. I won't tell her you guys called her a boy.

Thank you for this hope. I’m in same boat have 3 marans. One clearly came out early 3-5 weeks I could tell roo. other two compared one larger comb but very pale pink no red.
