Posted this on the BCM discussion thread but it seems that thread has really slowed down......Its been about a week since I took these pics and the comb is still the same....
S/he is about 5-6 weeks...I think????? The comb is bigger than many that I see on here but I swapped pics with another woman who purchased some from the same breeder and the females do have somewhat large combs for girls at this age....so that made me feel more hope :) In fact, her boys had much pinker/redder and rounded combs. His/her comb kind of "lays down" to the right..so it is bigger than it looks, but still very white/yellow.... Just wondering what the concensus is from everyone at this point as far as boy/girl. Either way, I love this baby. Very shy, nervous, but a love. Thanks for looking!

See? Comb looks bigger from this side....

She is a beauty! I have FBCM that is 6 weeks and I am sure she is a pullet. Your baby has a bigger comb than Sammi but other than that they could be twins! Sammi is such a sweetheart. When I give the chicks mealworms she is more interested in me talking to her!

My Coco is the same way! I think she thinks she is a person...would rather be with me than the other chickens ;)
Thank you everyone for you input...I only have this one fbcm and picked it straight run....guess I got lucky!

I have 2 week old BCM chicks and they seem to have white on their wings. I was wondering if yours ever had white feathers on it's wings?
This is the first and only bcm I have had...but yes...you can look at my photos in my default album and see other pics of her...her wing tip still have some white in them now and I was told that is typical for this breed and will go away when she molts.

Thank you. We are new to this breed and wonder what sex we have so far. They are huge compared to what we have had before

. We have had mostly bantams to this point and our two week old BCMs are huge. Also, three of them are feathering extremely fast, already sprouting chest and back feathers. It's scary to watch them grow so fast. Maybe it's the higher temperatures we have been having.

I got lucky too! Actually because she was straight run I figured I would have a roo so Sammi was originally named Samson! I wanted her to be a roo but now I am so glad I will have a hen that lays those gorgeous mahogany eggs!
She is smaller than my Orps who are the same age. She is a sweetheart and seems much more laid back then my Lemon Cuckoo Orp who is the Alpha hen of the group!
