So I noticed on the wings of some of my RL pullets, there is what looks like barred coloring. Its not on the primary feathers, but some of the under feathers and is a light brown and dark brown pattern that I swear looks barred. Is this normal for RLs? I was under the impression their feathers shouldn't have a pattern.

I'll have to get a pic to show.

The uneven coloring typical in young red birds. As they mature, the color will even out. If they are older, the coloring may just be because the variety has not yet been perfected. Where did you get them from?

I sorry "RL" could could stand for a lot.

As we now know Red Leghorn
Red Laced
Red La Fleche
Red Lakenvelder
And who know what else it could stand for.

I like the one computer modification site I am a part of, in there rules it states NO ABBREVIATION (they have it in capitals).....
