I just found my sweet Silkie Fuzzbert dead in the coop and there’s no signs anything is wrong with her other than these lumps under her skin on her stomach. She was molting and it’s been hot, but not so bad that it should have been heat related :-( I’m just devastated 💔😢

Sorry for your loss. I don’t know what those lesions are. Someone else might know. I would advise you to keep her body cold wrapped in 2 garbage bags in a cooler on ice or in the refrigerator. Contact the state vet and ask about getting a necropsy to look for a cause of death. Or you could try doing a home necropsy to look at her organs and take pictures of them to post here for opinions. Here is some info about a necropsy:

Here is a good video with the organs labeled of a necropsy:

Yeah, I live too far away to drive it and overnight shipping is $70! I just don’t have that right now. But I have sent others there and they are great.
What was the reason some of the others passed?

I have MG in my flock and the other deaths were “unknown”. By that I mean they had various reasons they died but cause was unknown. I also live tested one of my roosters at the Texas lab for all the things and he came back negative for all of them. I haven’t been able to afford further testing…so it is what it is I suppose. I was just hoping someone may have seen it before and had some ideas. :-(
