Hiya all. Hatched 15 chicks 10 girls 5 boys obviously some damage to feathers so Kept one boy, brought in a new roo. To expand gen pool. But due to one roo being very aggressive with girls. We are down to 1. But the damage the girls have especily one in particular. her shoulders are bear and red. Her back, from her oil gland up 3 inches round is bear. her tail feathers are snapped. Did make 5 girls capes. The other roo has been gone 3 mths now. And it's not improving. The others seam to be improving but Betty and blodewyn are not. have sprayed with vet spray. Green. Blodewyns Tail feathers are snapped more today Any advice. Would be appreciated. Think I need to pull luke skywaker out. But as thay free-range he looks after them unsure what to do. Thank you. Also it could be stress as I have 14, 10 week old in a different part of henhouse. Plus 5,6week old chicks and mum in another part of coop. Had sold 14.but buyer has dropped out.decided to keep the hens. Thay are all out in day only come in at night.
