We have a silkie inside and it is seems to really like this homemade feather duster! During the day it pecks at it and tries to pull the feathers out. At night it sleeps under it (there is a heater under the brooder). So cute. I'm just thrilled he has a "friend".

I have a little Silkie that is unable to get to the roost with her fellow Silkie friends, might have to do this!

He really seems happy with it and makes those little purring and cooing noises when he's under it at night.

I think an important part of the setup is the heat source under the feather duster. Our heater on the underside of the brooder gets it up to about 90 degrees.
