I never used feather fixer, but looking at it, it is 18% protein and has calcium and trace minerals. I've never had my chickens molt. I did not do it on purpose, and I'm not sure why. I feed my girls BOSS and fax seed. They also get all the leftovers from the garden and mulberries in season and I dry and feed back the egg shells to them. We feed an organic layer crumb and they get oyster shells free choice. No extra light in the winter. I hope this helps in some way. I'm thinking it is the extra fat and calcium they get, but I don't know that for certain.

I’d say this is an improvement :wee
Her feathers are aiming in nicely
