i noticed one chick (22 weeks old) had a small patch on her back with missing feathers. Last night I noticed another chick was missing feathers also. I don't have a rooster and it's right were the base of the tail is.
Everything I've read has said mites or protein. I still had meat maker so I mixed 1/2 with Layina crumbles for a few weeks. They have oyster shell and get meal worms. They don't get a lot of fruiti mostly greens and are let out of the run at least 1/2 hour a day. I believe the run/coop is sufficient for 6 chicks. I can pick up blu kote Saturday. I'll check for mites tonight. I have neem oil and sevin dust which id prefer not to use.
I gave them 3 scrambled eggs and some organic pumpkin seeds (9% protein) this morning.
Am I missing anything?

I would check for lice and mites, but not treat unless I found evidence of them. Feather picking is pretty common especially if they don't go outside to free range. If they are kept inside, they may need more room. I would get some Nustock Cream to apply to their bare spots since it is healing and bad tasting.

They go out in the run everyday I let them loose in the horse corral which has a 5' wide 100' long strip of leaves that they love digging thru. The funny thing is most times they hang out in my horses stall or follow me around a few wonder back into their run on their own I assume they just want me to throw the mealworms down. They seem to be quite content. I'll be looking for mites when I lock them up tonight.
