Feather loss.

Hi, does anyone know why my Jane Goodall is having this feather loss and if there is something we can do? It’s been going on for a few months. I honestly thought she was molting at first, but now that the other girls are molting I can see it’s very different. She’s about a year and a month old.

Yup! That's what my roo's favs look like. Naked backs and naked necks. Love hurts, doncha know.

Really?? I do. But It looks like she’s biting her feathers off. Is that what it looks like for you? I haven’t noticed him mounting her more than the others. But she’s definitely the smallest one.

Your hen is probably preening, not biting her feathers off. You may want to separate out the rooster and give her a break.
