i have a question.. i have 3 ducks and theyre doing well but i noticed that there has been quite a lot of feathers on the ground. I haven't seen any bald spots or anything. It looks like they're preening and the feathers come off. I was worried that they could be stressed and pulling their feathers out. theyre about 8 weeks old now. could they just be molting or?

Probably molting! Our chicks of the same age are molting right now!

thats probably what it is. they seem to itch and preen a lot too. is molting itchy for birds? I was also worried that they could be mites. sorry for so many questions. Im new to birds-
Growing new feathers is itchy.
