Feather mites?

Hello, I have the same issue with broken feathers, white dust, and tiny white flies, chickens have missing feathers underneath their belly between their legs. No Rooster here, the chickens get along with each other. They are eating, drinking and laying eggs. Please HELP!!!
Welcome To BYC

Can you please post photos of your birds, the tiny white flies, etc.?

Where are you located in the world?

Tiny white "flies" are those crawling on the birds themselves/on the skin? Sounds like you may be seeing Lice. Permethrin poultry dust can be found at most feed stores, dust your birds once a week for a few weeks to get rid of the bugs.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and your guidance with my chickens. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture at the moment, but I’ll try to get one soon. I read in one of the threads that Permethrin 10 is effective for both lice and mites. In my stress over the situation, I went ahead and gave them a bath with it before seeing your response, but I hope I’m on the right track. I’m about to clean the coop with soapy water and Permethrin 10. Would it be better to use Permethrin powder for the coop, or should I stick to washing and rinsing with the diluted mixture? For context, I’m located in the Northeast, in Connecticut. Thank you again for your help! This is my first time having chickens of my own! I have four adult chickens and six pullets, they are almost 15 weeks old, and they stay separate from each other by a gate. I am slowly trying to socialize them.

You can use Permethrin10 on the birds if you dilute it according to the instructions on the bottle.

I would spray the Coop/housing with the Permethrin. Soapy water...will your coop dry quickly? If not, then spraying with Permethrin would be better.

I like the dust/powder to treat the birds. For me it's easier to dust them instead of dunking them in water which can be stressful and shocking to them, but quite a few people bath their birds.

Update:

I am planning to pickup some Permethrin10 powder for the future, thank you for the guidance!

The chickens seem a little better today. They are still scratching themselves and have some dandruff, but it’s not as bad as before. However, one of the young pullets still looks sad. She’s mostly hunched over with her head tucked back. She is eating and drinking, but I’m unsure how to proceed. I inspected her feathers and noticed something yellow coming off. Her feathers are weak and broken.
I put a little bit of apple cider vinegar on their water, and feed them their regular food plus protein. I hope to see some improvements.
