Feather pecking/eating... Still need help!!!!

I hope you can get them out soon Clay, they sound mighty frustrated!

BTW, some folks here are leery of pine tar because it takes so long to wear off.
Sold at tack stores mostly.

basically there is several things may be wrong
if it is one hen doing the damage she is teaching the others
but possibly you need to put them in a run so they can get outside
also DO THIS
wrap a head of cabbage (leave dark green leaves on) in chicken wite and hang from ceiling to 12 inches from floor

or you can wrap a piece of baled alfalfa hay in chicken wire and hang it same way from ceiling
when they eat all of it replenish the cabbage or and alfalfa

also DO THIS put a feder of whole horse oats and a feeder of granite grit in for them to eat

also you can buy mineralized grit for pigeons and it is very good IF they are deficient in vitamins and minerals

Most likely they can be short of protein
feathrs are protein

possibly they were picking blood fesathrs if they were moulting

any ways do what I suggested and give them something to do
