I have a pullet that is pecking feathers on two of my others. I have heard that more protein will help with this issue. Could I give them salami lunch meat? Would that help? And also any idea's that would help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. I am new to this we just got them on 5 days ago. And already having a issue. I know she is pecking at the others feathers because I caught her in the act. Thank you.

Salami is high in both fat and salt which aren't good for them. Go with sunflowers, eggs, cat food, beef, cooked beans (not dried), soy, milk. Even switch them over to one bag of game starter (22%) or buy a bad of dried worms. you can teach them tricks for the worms.

Also could it be a Borden or space issue? If they are bored or don't have enough space they could start pecking, alot of people don't agree with it, but cooked chicken is good for protein as well
