Feather pecking. Please help!

Upping protein might help, also photos or a detailed description of your set up as well. Feather picking can possibly be diet, boredom or stress related.

Their run is just about 100sqft. Their coop is 20”+ off the ground, 5’wide by 3.5’deep by 4’high. They get to roam the yard at least once a week. The run is sand and they have a dust bath.

Space sounds good. Run might be boring if there's just a dust bath. Might want to look into adding clutter for enrichment, and to provide hiding spots so birds being picked on have some avenue of escape: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/a-cluttered-run.1323792/page-6#post-25037140

One of my chickens started doing this today too and I am wondering if it's the cold or them being bored. What did you use to up their protein? Mine are on 175 layer feed.
