I have 6 bantams (2 Silkies, 3 Cochins, 1 Polish) in a small coop with an attached run. They are about 3 months, and they’ve been together since they were a few days old. I’ve noticed in the last few days that the Polish is being picked on. I’m not sure of the sex, but I think it’s a cockerel. Some of the pin feathers on top of his head are bleeding, and his whole crown is bright pinkish red. I've put him in a dog crate by himself. I’m looking for suggestions on how others have handled this problem. Should I rehome him or try to introduce him back to the flock after his head heals? I’m planning to extend their run soon so they have more room. Thanks!

Lack of space can definitely be a contributing factor, as does the fact that he's the only Polish and looks different than the others. How long until you can expand the set up? Do you have the option of free ranging at all in the meantime?

Thanks for your reply. I’ll try letting them free range today until I can expand their run.
