I agree with PP that deep litter in coop and run will help with this behavior.(hay, leaves, wood chips, any natural materials that would compost.) You are at a disadvantage b/c it's winter, but... what ever you can use will be helpful. Perhaps you can toss some kitty kibble, which is a high protein treat in the litter. (just a bit now and then) Add Pinless peepers also.
