Feather sexing Polish chicks?

Mine didn’t really have very puffy hair till they were about 2-3 weeks old. They lost most of the puff in their hair on day 2 or 3 it was sad. I hope it goes well for you @JacinLarkwell.

I actually think your yellow one is a GIRL, and the one with more black is your boy. If you look at the crest the females are usually more rounded all the way through to the front, while the boys seem to have a dip in their pouf at the front and the feathers seem to go more backward

Also with silkies and polish, generally if there are feathers at the crest that seem to be longer/cascade out more it’s a boy, the hens seem to feather all evenly just like at their wing. Also hens will usually get tail feathers first while stags remain fuzzy bottomed for longer lol

I think I read that Polish can't be feather sexed. But I hatched two today and I'm almost positive they're male and female according to wing feathers. Is this a thing in Polish?

Suspected male first with yellow wing. Suspected female with white wing.

Do you have an update for this thread? Male vs female? Was wing sexing accurate?!
