i am hatching some wyandotte and araucana and was wondering can i wing sex these when they are a day old. i know some breeds this can be done but not sure on my hatching eggs.
has anyone had any experience on this please.
 
No, unfortunately you cannot do that with those kinds of breeds.. I believe they have to be bred with different breeds to have the trait.. Something about breeding a slow maturing rooster to a hen that matures fast..
 
When I wing sexed these guys, it was about a year ago, and the result that I thought I found were correct! if you need to know how to wingsex, I would use this link!
 
i don't think i will try vent sexing. but the wing sexing is interesting.
but iam not sure that i will be able to check it on bantams.
