Feather sexing

I've seen the video youtube.com that came from "how it's made"... I think. Anyway they talk about sexing chicks by compairing the two rows of feathers started on the newly hatched chicks. If two lengths it's a boy and same length is a girl (or vise versa I can't quite remember).
Now this only works for some breeds if I understand correctly. Does anyone know what breeds this does work for?
