Feathered Fun Time

I had some leftover grilled onions and instead to ditching them I went ahead and gave them to my chickens to see if they would enjoy them. It was histerical

. They had a blast eating them and chasing each other to get the onion away from one another. I am thinking the other chickens thought it might be a worm and was trying to get it from one another. Anyway they had a great time and so did we watching them. Just thought I would share that.

Its always funny to watch the chickens run around with treats. I have never given onion due to the fact that its quite strong and the flavor may transfer to the egg.

Onion infused eggs? Sounds great! Good to find out that they will eat them, too. I know I can't give onions to my dog, so it will be good to have a backup "disposal" system! Thanks for posting that.

Yeah, I read that the eggs are onion floavored. I hate onions.
