Was not sure where to post this question, direct me if I am wrong.
Had my first Broody Mama's this month, Mama #1 had 4 chicks, easy to figure out who was Mom & know who Dad is.
Broody Mama #2, has hatched 4 so far, 2 Chipmunks (Easter Egg Eggs), but they have feathered legs. The chick I was sure was a Buff, also has feathered legs. (both Broody Mama's are BO's)
Here is a picture of the 1 Buff & 2 Chipmunk chicks born Mon. & Tues. You can see the feathers going down each of the Chipmunk's legs, the Buff would not stay still long enough for me to get a shot of it's feet.
Dad to all chicks is my GLW - Owl, as you see in his picture, he don't have feathered legs. My only feathered legged hens are my 2 Light Brahmas. I did have a Red Bantam Roo, with feathered feet, but he did not go after my hens till two weeks ago, two weeks before that, they either chased him away or ran away from him. I hope none of the latter eggs under this Mama belong to him. He was a naughty roo, and he went to a good home on Monday.
