Feathered Silkie

Hello i have bought 3 silkie babies from a friend of mine who is a breeder and one of my silkies is feathered. Is this usual? Ive never seen one before.

It had to have been mixed with something else somewhere in the back genetics's.

Yes, it has smooth feathers, so it’s not a pure silkie. It must be mixed with something else.

Like everyone said she is mix.
But not only that, two silkies will never produce a non silkie so one of her parents wasn't a silkie.
That means your friend either should of known, doesn't know what a silkie is themselves or has some birds sneaking around.
