This is one of our pullets hatched out in late June from our neighbor's eggs. Her father was a RIR. She has not crowed or laid an egg yet, but we're pretty sure she's a hen. Her comb is flat. What other breed(s) do you think she has in her? She has feathers on her feet. Do feathered feet indicate she will lay colored eggs?

No, feathered feet do not indicate colored eggs. Sultans have feathered legs and lay white eggs.

That there is a Brahma x Production Red. Brahmas have pea combs (which are dominant) like that one and feathered legs like that one as well as a columbian pattern like that one.

Thanks for the input everyone. We did have what looked like a Brahma Rooster that hatched from the same batch of eggs. He had lots of feathers on his feet. She just has a few feathers on hers. He was huge compared to the other chicks. We gave him to our neighbor since we already had enough roos.

Are Brahmas good layers?

yes i too think she's a mix of a Brahma and RIR. and just to let you know for future problems with what hen will lay what color egg a chicken will normally lay blue/green/yellow eggs if she has green legs.

Buttercups, White Giants & several varieties of games all have green legs. None lay blue, green or yellow? eggs.
