I just picked up 2 little EEs from the local feedstore. They have all the typical characteristics: chipmunk cheeks, olive legs, striped coloring, etc. But one of the babies has feathered legs! Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks!

Yep. I have one:) I was told it probably has Cochin in the mix when I asked on here about it.

A cochin? Yay! I hope that's it! That would be the best of both worlds

Does it affect how often she lays?

It's hard to say which traits a mixed bird will inherit. You'll just have to find out!

I have some feather leg EE mixed with cochins i got in a swap about 5 months ago. They are the cutest birds. I think one has just started laying. It is a barely tinted egg.

Are they tinted greenish/blue? Thanks for the info - I have been wanting a cochin so it would be pretty lucky if it works out that my new little EE is part cochin. By the way, you have the funniest signature I've ever seen!
