I got a shipment of straight run bantam Wyandottes...blues and columbians, from a hatchery. They're a little over 2 wks. right now (2 wks. and 3 days). Thing is, I noticed that the columbians started feathering in quite quickly compared to the blues. Even when I first got them they were like that. Some of the columbians are feathering in quicker than the others, which may be pullets compared to cockerels (I realize all that's a crap shoot at this age though), but even what could be suspected as cockerels are feathering in much quicker than the blues. Is it possible that different colors could feather in quicker than others? I mean like the columbians feathering in quicker than the blues?

Nobody loves me...no answers to my question.
