How old are Ancona's before they start feathering? I have a duckling that I believe is an Ancona and she (he?) is almost 6 wks and has almost no feathers. She has a few on her chest. I also have a Khaki Campbell (I think) who is about the same age, but is almost completely feathered. Is this normal? And how can I tell gender of them. I keep calling Chip a "she" and Dip a "he", but will feel bad if they aren't what I think...

I don't have any idea about the Ancona's. It sure is cute though. Hopefully someone will be able to give you some information.

I've only had experience with Cayugas so far and they were completely feathered and ready to go outside at 5 weeks. Sorry, not sure about Anconas.
