...As I understand it "herbalism" and "herbology" are one in the same...Herbalism tends to be used more in the USA and Herbology is used in Britain. Afterall the ending _ology, means "scientific study of" or something like that.
My herb teacher impressed upon us the importance of reading herbal history for clues and then searching out the modern scientific evidence to show why an herb does something...plants are very cool.

I find all the science of gardening and using different plants for different things very interesting! I hope you find backyard chickens as nice as we do!
