Feathers coming in strangely ... rooster?

This 2-week-old chick is getting its feathers in differently than the other same-age chicks. This is a Sapphire Olive Egger, supposedly a pullet. But those feathers coming in down the ridge of its back ... the only other time I have seen this was when we had an accidental rooster. Any educated guesses about whether we’re in trouble that way again?

The chick is growing it's feathers and that's how all chicks are when they start growing feathers.

That looks like to me maybe a rooster—sometimes they can accidentally get a rooster into the pullets.
Can you send a pic of it’s wings spread out so I can see the growth on its wings—I know how to determine if it is a girl or a boy by seeing its expanded wing (I may be wrong)
Also the way the comb is already so big.

Look normal to me. Pullets and cockerels don't normally feather in differently. Varying rate of growth, however, can be of great effect.

Yes, cockerels grow in their feather much slower then pullets—it’s almost like how girls mature faster then boys...

Haven't noticed this at all, out of 40-50 cockerels.....then again, everyone's experiences differ. The little man in my avatar sports every bit as many feathers as his female hatchmates.

It’s mostly when they are 1-2 weeks old—later they are the same (your avatar is adorable and I love hatchmates!

Will certainly look through pictures and see if this holds true for any of my other cockerels. Current 30 boys and girls (who are now 4 weeks old) feathered in comparably.
