My problem is at the bottom if those post. I thought the pictures would be fun. ;)

We are guessing MoMo is a he. "He" never quacks. He actually isn't all that noisy unless you stress him out. Then he makes more of a rasssspy whack noise. Still no clue what 'he' is except a crested something.

Here's our pretty Buff. We assume a "he' also since he also does not quack. He actually doesn't do a lot of anything. He is the quietest in the group. Usually the last to eat. And he never ever EVER gets in the water. EVER. And I mean EVER. I literally have to go get him and put him in the pool. He will usually get wet, bathe a bit and hop out. But if I don't do that- he won't get in. Not when they are all in, not when none of them are in. Never. It's not a new thing though. Doesn't like the water?

This is Robin aka Donald Trump. When he started getting his feathers a couple weeks ago we noticed one growing randomly out the side of his head. It's been there 3 or 4 weeks. It's so silly looking. He also does not quack. We think he might be top duck. He is pushier than the rest, first to get to the food, often the first to hop in the pool and when the baby ducks get close- he is the first to chase them away. He's kinda not nice. We suspect he is a Cayuga because he is getting a shimmery green to him.

Mmm num nums. They are still very skittish around me but those peas will get them to pay attention to me and not run around freaking out.

The 3 week old babies: getting some feathers looking scraggly yet cute.

Looking for pea handouts .

Keeping their distance from the big ducks.

I personally find that out of our Pekins, Cayugas, 300s, Buffs, Harlequins and Runners....that the Runners have the sweetest disposition. At least our Runners. They don't freak, they are pretty calm, they often let you just pick them up even while their other buddies are running away. The Buffs are the silliest as ducklings so far...2nd actually to the Pekins when they were little ducklings.

Thanks for looking!

Now onto issues:
The 6 week olds chase off the 3 week olds ALL THE TIME. Usually not overly aggressive but sometimes nipping. They will try to hog the food and the pool if I do not intervene. Is this normal? They are only together during the day and we have only been doing this for about 4 days. But the ducklings are huge. And I can TRY to get them to 4 weeks before putting them in the coop with the bigger ducklings but I have concerns about their safety at this point. Housing them elsewhere after 4 weeks is not an option. One big coop is all we can manage. Any advice welcome.

Our suspected Cayuga Drake...with the one feather growing out his head. Is that normal? I am not overly worried or anything but I have never seen such a silly thing. One lone feather growing out the side of his head. haha

As far as I can tell, the bullying is not unusual. Can you subdivide the coop with plastic poultry fence? I suggest plastic because it is fairly soft and flexible and less likely to have a wire sticking out that someone will stab their bill with.

Keep working with them. Perhaps having them separated by fence outdoors but handing out treats to everyone at the same time will help them associate good feelings with being together.

Don't push them . . . flocks usually form pretty well. One big issue can be drakes trying to push everyone else around. We'll just have to wait and see about that, though.

Thank you Amiga. I will see if we can divide the coop in half. That would be a perfect idea. I could get them out tonight if I did this, plus the babies stay safe on their own side. Thank you so much!
