Feathers in the run

Hey all.

So my girls are about 8 weeks old. In the last week, I've noticed random feathers on the ground here and there. Also some of the small soft fluffy ones being blown around. All the chickens look great, feathered really nicely, there are 4 of them and really get along well. There aren't many at all but it's my first time with chickens so I'm just wondering if it's normal?

Sounds like they are getting their more adult feathers and the baby down is falling out. Nothing to worry about. Your chickens will start getting more colorful now!

Yep, your exactly right. It's just that baby down falling off.

There are some of their big feathers here and there too. I'm assuming probably just normal since it's only a small amount and pretty random?

It could be a small molt. nothing major to worry about. my hens let a few fly every once and a while.
