Feathers not growing back

I’m not sure about one of my hens. She’s lost feathers, firstly because she was broody a couple of months ago and secondly we clipped her wings months ago. The other hen’s wing feathers have grown back and needed clipping again since, but her wing feathers and chest feathers haven’t returned.

She’s laying fine, looks healthy, there’s no pecking problem, they don’t seem to have mites, and the other hen is fine. Not sure if there’s something wrong or if the feathers will just take a long time to come back?

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Often times feathers don't grow back until the next molt. Depending on the age of the bird, and the time of year the feather loss occurs, it can seem like a very long time. If she's over a year old she will probably molt sometime this fall and you should see the feathers come in then.

Mine did the same thing they will grow back with time

Feathers aren't like hair or fur, they won't just grow back when they've been plucked or lost. They'll only grow back once the bird decides it's time to molt. All you can do is wait and make sure she has high quality protein in her ration for when they do start growing.
