Hi! My ducklings has a bump near the top of her tail/bottom of body, it's really sore and red and something is sticking out of it, idk how old she is, I got her at tractor supply, but is this a mature feather coming in? Some weird tick? Should I be worried?

It could be some sort of rash? Allergic reaction to something? Maybe it is a feather, but I don't think they get red or sore. Maybe an... in-grown feather? Like an in-grown hair? Is that a thing with ducks?

Oil gland...It needs to bath to get the oil gland working..

I let her have water time everyday, so should I let her get more? They are starting to dive, it's adorable, but I'll post a picture around 4 pm today, it's on the top of her body twords her tail, she doesn't like it bring touched

Yes, that's her oil gland..She might be overly preening?..She might be itching from new feather growth or a clogged oil gland?...

Could be vitamin A deficiency too...Try warm cloth to the gland?..Add wheat to the diet..
What feed are they eating?

Chick feed and they've had some treats , corn and a couple strawberry pieces, I'll try that and try to send a pic after school
