FEATHERS!!!

How do I know when silkies are fully feathered??!! Sounds silly, but this is our first go around with them and they are "hairy, not feathered"!!! LOL about 5 weeks old!The first three pics are of our 2 bantam brahmas, Pepper and Rascal..... The last pics are of our bantam silkies: Fluffy, Poof, Dottie, and Ghost!!

The way I could tell with my silkies was all the little feathers that grew on their heads, and ended up on the ends of their big feathers, were gone. I also think it’s mostly an age thing. My were fully feathered by 6 weeks. Maybe before that but definitely at 6 weeks.

They definitely need a couple more weeks.
