Feathers?

I have 7 pulleys, all about 19-21 weeks old so too young to molt. Is it normal that they lose feathers? Nothing noticeable on the birds but I find feathers in the bedding and in the yard!

Young birds go through a few juvenile molts as they mature, though I can't remember the age range in which they tend to happen.

Thanks! It doesn’t seem like it’s a molt, more like how humans lose hair. You don’t notice it on the bird but you see the feathers laying around

I see my younger birds go through a molt, so it's not unusual, just something that's apart of them growing up.

They replace their baby feathers a few times as they grow.

I’ve just had two random illnesses that are still a mystery and it doesn’t look like a molt so basically I’m just paranoid.

What were the symptoms?

I don't think the feather loss is connected.

Oh boy the symptoms are basically a novel haha one died from a bump under her beak, within a week she was dead. The other one seems to have lameness in her leg. Her back feathers were plucked out by a bigger bird and she has a big bald spot and then the feathers on her breast truly don’t look like they’re hanging in there very well. All of my birds are about 4.5 months old and no one has ever laid. They’re my first chickens
