i hope this is in the right place!

I have adopted battery hens each year since i was about 10 and stopped when i left home, now i am back in it and i adopted 4 3 weeks ago on Sunday, now due to me forgetting how long it takes, only 2 of the hens have started growing new feathers, the other 2 haven't, they are all eating and are happy scratting about and talking (loudly!) Is there any reason why only 2 are growing new feathers or is it normal and they will do it in their own time?

if their protein intake isnt high enough they eat feathers but nows a good time to check for lice and mites. dont want those.

They are not really losing any, just not growing any new ones as they were half bald when i got them!

check for lice and up your protein maybe?
