You must have a ginormous bator! We're still not sure how many our incubator will hold, but it's an ExoTerra, same as a Reptipro 5000. We're totally new at this so we're starting with a small hatch. A fellow BYCer gave us a dozen various eggs from her yard, plus I had 4 Trader Joe fertile eggs in the fridge that had been there for a couple of weeks & were right at their "expiration date" so I didn't hold out much hope for those anyway but thought what the heck, couldn't hurt. That made a total of 16 eggs that we set for a Valentine's Day hatch. Three of the 4 Trader Joe eggs had to be chucked at 6 days when we candled, but the other one shows veins, as do ALL 12 of the eggs gathered from my friend's yard (she has very loving, active birds hehehe).
Those of you who are longtime hatchers, do you remember that excitement from your first incubation??? I can't believe I am enjoying this. I didn't even WANT to get into this aspect of chickeneering, but here we are!
