I think my broody was 3 for 3 overnight. It's hard to tell since she is so protective. The minute they stick their heads out she's ushering them back under! It's so sweet to hear her talk to them . Here's the best pic I could get this morning.

I got 6 more chicks hatch today. So these and the ones that hatched last weekend I have 11 babies.
Here are todays babies before I put them in a brooder.

I have several more due on the 26th and 27th

The white one on the right is VERY cute!!!! What was the hatch rate?

I think we wrapped up over here. 8 out of 11 hatched. One died after zipping a d never pushed. Two have no signs of life or even an internal pip. I will water candle tomorrow to make sure. First time hatching! Bator took 8 my silkie took 3. How fun and exciting this was.

My silkie Echo is brooding then all. She is doing great. Got home from work tonight and 7 of them came out to eat and drink with her.

Well, only the one chick for me. I candled the 2nd marans egg and it was no farther along than when I put it into lockdown.... a lot of fluid up top. It had a very wonky air cell, so not overly surprised that it didn't make it.

Do you think in a few days I can put the little one in with the 2-week-olds?

55% I guess. 8 hatched, 1 died and 5 eggs left in hatcher

The dark one up close came from a porcelain "project" egg. The rest are sizzles from my flock

All the chicks are soo cute! I am a first time hatcher and my chicks are due to hatch next Friday. I'm hatching in a Brinsea Eco 20 on an auto turner and I absolutely love the ease.

My chicks due on Friday are 4 Bielefelder, 2 Blue Isbar, 3 Cream Leg Bar and 4 Lemon Cuckoo Buff Orpingtons. I think one of the cream leg bar and 1 of the orpintons are not developed but I saw something so I left them in until I know for sure. All the rest were clearly developed.
I told my husband yesterday that I really needed these chicks to hatch so I could get my mind on my family and work Who knew I would be so consumed by these chicks! Can't wait to see more cute chicks
