Hello everyone! I will be setting around 27 eggs from my Salmon Faverolles flock at the end of this week. This will be my first hatch from this particular flock and I am anxious to see what they produce. I finally bought myself a digital scale and will be charting egg weight-loss throughout the incubation and adjusting humidity accordingly.

They're here! 3 yesterday 4 today- all 7 hatched!!!

Did my day 14 candling...All five look good, with movement, and I even figured out how to see in my super hard blue egg. I put TWO small led flashlights in a toilet paper roll, and put the egg on the roll horizontally. Worked great! Still wasn't light enough for a pic, but I could map the air cell and see movement clearly! The dark one in the pics is the lighter one of my two blue eggs.

The blue eggs are tough!!! I'm hatching pure welsummer and olive eggers next... Not looking forward to candling! They look good though!

What are your mixes??

Not super sure, they aren't mine. When I went to pick them up, I did recognize black Ameraucanas/EEs, but I'm not familiar with a ton of breeds so I couldn't really ID any of the others. The eggs are between tan to light brown (besides the two blue ones). The other chickens had single combs (not that that narrows it down much)... :)
