Paula...do you have it programmed for the cooling cycle ? I know sometimes that gets turned on in err or people don't realize maybe it's on the cooling cycle. Mine is at 86 right now and when it is done the cooling cycle will heat back up to 99.5.

Although that doesn't explain it going up and down from 97-102. I hope yours eggs are ok.

As far as I know my incubator doesn't have any sort of cooling cycle? I've never read anything about it in the manual. It seems to just be broken all together.
So far no evidence of hatching today (day 20), no peeps internal or external. I'd feel alot better if I knew they were okay in there!

Day 7 candling: looking good! Nice veins now, with visible embryos. Plus a surprise: she snuck two more eggs in, giving me an even dozen. The newbies aren't quite as well developed, but do have nice early veining!

Momma is enjoying a quick stroll around, a bath in the cats' water dish, and helping herself to their food (which apparently tastes infinitely better than layer crumbles...)

Pre-season incubator maintenance is on my to do list for the day. Tear down, heavy disinfection, etc... Thinking of firing it up at the end of the week... I have 3 new ladies who are actively laying...

I'm very new at hatching, but I have 24 eggs in lockdown. 20 white bresse eggs I got shipped and 4 ee's from the backyard.
1 has been externally pipped for over 40 hours!
I just helped it a bit by removing some shell after it had been 40 hours.

Hi,I just joined! Right now I have 14 due this Sunday! I have a salmon faverollie, rir, and speckled sussex roosters free ranging with black australorp, barred rock, rir, and white Leghorns. So I'm pretty excited about the babies!

None of mine hatched. I will try again after I get the problems fixed with the incubator. I did get chicks in the mail so it wasn't a total loss. I just had to pay for them.
