That is awesome. I don't think my hubby will let me get that big. All though I usually do what I want anyway. The first picture were for consuming. That was a week's worth. That was from all the flocks, including the ladies-only pen
I'm lucky, my wife fell in love with the process as much as I did. She landscapes around the pens, and her silkie coop looks like a dollhouse. We have a lot of fun with themThat is awesome. I don't think my hubby will let me get that big. All though I usually do what I want anyway.
He would to if he would let himself love them like I do.I'm lucky, my wife fell in love with the process as much as I did. She landscapes around the pens, and her silkie coop looks like a dollhouse. We have a lot of fun with them
Hey rainbowchick!! Wow, a neighbor!! I have some Lavender Ameraucana eggs from a breeder and I'm gonna try some from my "I don't know what she is." I was told she was a Lavender Orpington, but she clearly isn't. She looks more like a Blue Wyandotte. Anyway, her eggs are fertile with my OEG Bantam rooster, so I thought it would be fun to see how they turned out. She just started laying about 2 months ago, so I haven't tried to hatch any of hers yet. I'm excited!! What are you hatching?Hey stephensonc- you're only about an hour from me! What are you hatching?![]()
I love mixes!! They are so much fun to see how they turn out. My first batch was from my Golden Comets, White Leghorns, & EE, all crossed with my RIR rooster, so those babies were mixes and are so cute. That's what I did too as far as trying them first to learn all the ins and outs of hatching. You will learn a lot from your first hatch, then you will become obsessed with it and want to do it again and again...lolI'm just hatching a barnyard mix from a local farm. It's a test hatch. I want to make sure I know what I'm doing with my incubator before I spend some serious money on eggs. One of the breeds I'm planning on is Lavender Ameraucanas.Where'd you get yours from?![]()
