Set 13 RIR eggs into lockdown today, due for hatch Wednesday, maybe a bit earlier for the bantam size. These babies are going to 4h raffle auction on Valentine's ♡

Can you tell anything by the combs? I know that can sometimes help identify mixes. We just started some pet project eggs for my 4h teen and there will be surprises there, cream legbar over different hens. Cant wait to see pictures of them all!

Put my four BLRW into lockdown. They'll be hatching in the Brinsea because the Genesis is occupado with the 14 Marans.

Here I go...

two days of my incubator set at 101* but both temps inside the bator are reading only 96*. I am going to turn it up a degree and see what my reading says from there. Bleh. I hate how off my incubator is. No good No good.

I'm locking down Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Hatch due on Friday. I set 24 eggs, 20 cuckoo marans and 4 polish. I candled Saturday and had 3 clears and one quitter, 3 marans and one polish, but the rest looked great, so I will be locking down 20
