Whoa! I wrote down exact day and time I locked down. They were all eggs from that morning collected just laid that AM too but I have another pip. Officially day 19 now. Progress on pip 1 and a new pip I saw happen! First time hatching going great! Excited.

@Robbo ....Very exciting! I don't have any of my own girls producing yet but i can imagine that is the coolest thing ever~

Mama has 18 babies! She hatched 10 out and I pawned the rest of the incubator chicks on her. She loves every single one of them and got excited each time I brought out more. I've got 2 more for her once they get walking better and then I'm on to my next hatch!

She is living in the garage where I can heat it with the barrel stove due to single digits and negative windchills and colder weather tomorrow with lows of -11.

What a great broody mama!!

Awesome! I just love any "blue" chicken they are so beautiful. I've wanted marans forever I love those dark eggs. My RSL lays a pretty dark egg and all my mix eggs in the bator now are welsummer roo over different girls so hopefully I can get some dark eggs.

Well hatching is done. Out of 23 eggs that went into lock down. I had 20 hatch left the last 3 in for an extra day buy no progress so in cracked em open and they had died sometime after lock down. No pips at all.
Anyway here's the rest.

4 Buff Orpington X Lavender Orpington's

2 lavender orpington X barred Rock. Their sex linked. One has a white head spot and the other has a black head

4 chocolate Orpington's

And 6 BBS ameraucanas and 4 easter Eggers.

All Easter Egger "mutts". The two that have started, one is EExEE and one is Autralorpe x EE
