February/March Grow-a-long

Pics
In my adult flock i have rhode island reds and easter eggers. My chicks are welsummers.
Back when I first got chickens, i had 4 rhode islands, 1 was a reliable broody, another brooded only once, the rest, never. We gave them to a friend of mine a while back. I get the point though, rir's aren't likely to go broody, I just have some type of luck I'm not sure. Just remember its not 100% unlikely. What I would do is leave eggs in the nest gathered up for a little bit and see what happens. Although, mine have brooded on empty nests haha. I haven't yet had a broody ee (I've had friends with some though) and I've never owned welsummers, so can't say much there.

Sunday: three weeks old!

Red/blue is a wide-open chick, has to be first in everything! (not named yet)

Five chicks have a single leg ring, the others have two rings.

I topped off the feeder and there was chaos! :D

Yep, all TEN of them at once...

9 newly hatched over the last two days! So now I have a group of 5 week olds and day olds in the house.
On a sad note my male Polish passed away last night. Not sure what was going on with him but he declined no matter what I tried. Everyone else has seemed fine.

The new chickies are just so adorable compared to the gangly 5 week old teens lol

Y'all, I fell for it. The two Salmon faverolles now have eggs I'll let them sit on, one has 5, the other has 4, and the orpington still has 6. That's 15 chicks all together. And if you include my other ones, that's 25 chicks. AND, if you include my ducklings, that's 30 chicks. 😅.
Edit:
Any of y'all planning on having or hatching chicks in April? if so should I make a hatch-a-long/grow-a-long? I don't see one yet for April (Besides the easter one which I've already joined, but what i mean is other than easter, late/mid April hatches.)

That’s a lot of chicks!!!
I’m hatching starting sometime in April but not sure what date they are shipping. I’d definitely join along!
